Denver Botanic Gardens, Chatfield Farms - 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton, CO 80128
More than 1,000 people will gather at the three-day Summit, held at Denver Botanic Gardens, Chatfield Farms. The event is open to everyone from beginners to seasoned yoga teachers. The Summit was created with one goal in mind: belonging for all with yoga as a way of living, not just a class you take. This year’s theme is: From the mat into the world.
The Summit will offer plenty of opportunities to rest and reset and has something for everyone:
90+ yoga workshops, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions
Yoga classes led by local and national teachers
Opening night concert
Programming for kids ages 5-12
Garden marketplace with local artists and Colorado vendors
Nature walks, native gardens, butterfly house, views of the foothills along the Rocky Mountains
Continuing education (CE) sessions for yoga teachers
"When someone leaves Sunday evening, we want them carrying more than a good memory," said Brittany Hopkins Switlick, founder of Denver Yoga Summit. "We want them to have a felt sense of connection to themselves and to the people around them, and more tools to live differently on Monday morning."
The outdoor setting at Chatfield Farms was chosen deliberately. A power flow, a yin practice, a chair yoga class, and a meditation session can all happen at the same time across the grounds. September in Denver is the perfect setting – with warm days, leaves beginning to turn, and the Rockies visible at the edge of everything. The event is held at a nonprofit venue, and proceeds support Denver Botanic Gardens alongside five other local nonprofits.
In addition, the Denver Yoga Summit is offering free Reconnection Reset classes leading up to the Summit. Classes are being offered around the Denver metro area and are open to everyone.
Brittany Hopkins Switlick is available for interviews to discuss the benefits of yoga on health and wellbeing when incorporated into everyday life, and to answer questions about the Summit.
Join Deidre Norman this summer for a 21-day meditation journey that is designed to shift your consciousness and calm the nervous system. The practices of mantra, mudra and breathwork help to shift our consciousness, which, in turn, shifts the way we experience the world! In short, these practices help us attune to and walk new paths.
Each day for 21 minutes, we will go inwards, tune our consciousness to the highest vibration and connect with our centers. These exercises will calm the nervous system, open up our hearts and ground our energy down to connect us with our own inner stability and stillness. When we are in this state of stillness, we become more centered and focused and then are more able to align with our true nature.
During this 21 day challenge you will be provided with the tools and support you need to create a regular meditation practice that will benefit you in all areas of your life. Whether you are looking to reduce stress, improve your mental clarity, or simply connect more deeply with yourself, this course is designed to help you achieve your goals.
We begin the morning of July 31st @ 7:30am MST. We will meet Monday through Friday mornings live over Zoom @ 7:30am MST while weekend sessions will be recorded so you can do them anytime. Please note: All sessions are recorded, so you can do the meditations on your own time if you cannot attend live sessions during the week!
What you will receive with this course:
1. A PDF with tools to make your meditation practice easier.
2. 21 days of LIVE guided meditations: 7/31 - 8/20 @ 7:30am MST MONDAYS - FRIDAYS (Pre-recorded meditations for the weekend).
3. An invitation to join a private Facebook Group to be a part of a Sangha.
Who is this Course For?
Beginners and experienced meditators alike! This course is appropriate for those of you who are brand new to meditation as well as for people who want to deepen their meditation practice, or for experienced practitioners who are interested in joining a sangha (community).
"There is a synergy which is created when people meditate together. The healing power that is cultivated in a group meditation is far more effective than meditating alone."
A daily meditation practice has the ability to:
Reduce stress and anxiety
Calm your nervous system
Be more present in your day to day life
Experience more joy
Feel more calm, and less reactive
Quiet the analytical mind
Increase your intuitive abilities
Anyone who registers for this course can also schedule an Intuitive Reading with Deidre for $120 (Typical rate is $150). This rate is valid until December 31, 2023.
