Join Cathy Connors For A Yoga Teacher Training This August!

We recently met up with Cathy Connors about her upcoming yoga teacher training, starting this August.
Cathy has had many roles in her life - yoga teacher, yoga studio owner, psychologist, mother, friend, student, mentor - but at her core, she is an authentic soul who wants to share her passion of yoga with others. She is a dedicated student and has trained in vinyasa, power yoga, kundalini and Sattva. She met her main teacher, Anand Mehtrora, two years ago during her travels to India and since that time has discovered the power of combing vinyasa yoga with theancient practices of Kriya, Pranayama and meditation. Taking the path of a yogi is a crazy, fun journey and she wants to support you as you step on your path to discovering your light, finding joy and diving deep into all that you are meant to share in this world.
SF Yoga: Can you give us a summary of the training?
Cathy Connors: I could go on and on about the information you will learn in this training, but I don’t think it’s the information that will transform you. It is the connections you make to others, the experiences you have during the practices, and the risks you take to show up fully that will shape your experience. In this training, I will encourage you to step beyond the boundaries of what your normally do so that you can see your strength, your light and discover your gifts. We are all teachers and whether or not you choose to teach yoga, your gifts are meant to be shared and this training is a step in that direction. So, if your heart says“yes” please listen and take this step toward discovering how yoga can lead you back to the power of your heart, the importance of community and the gift of divine grace.
SFY: Why should someone choose this yoga teacher training?
CC: You will walk away from this training knowing how to lead a vinyasa yoga class that is grounded, inspiring and filled with joy. But this training goes way beyond the physical practice. It is a step into the full practice of yoga - physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. You will learn how to weave breath work, kriya’s, mantras, meditation, partner work and freedom movement into your classes. These practices will take you to the next level in terms of your transformation. These are powerful practices that you can do in your daily life to bring you into a place of dynamic stillness - fully alive an yet completely at peace.
SFY: When is the training taking place?
CC: The training is six weekends - two in August (8/19-8/21 and 8/26-8/28), two in September (9/9-9/11 and 9/23-9/25) and two in October (10/7-10/9 and 10/21-10/23). The training will be happening In Folsom, California. It is in a beautiful space that is right off of Lake Natoma. There are many hotels near this location.
