The organizers of the One Fire Fest brought the healing practice of hot yoga to Casa Om in Puerto Morelos, Mexico and co-created an amazing experience with the teachers and participants who showed up to share their love of yoga and mindful living. Bringing traditional hot yogis together with the addition of different styles of yoga created a kaleidoscope of conscious connection that appealed to teachers and students alike. Within this sacred space of yogic tradition, doses of meditation, sutra study, yoga history, discussion groups, breathwork, energetic healing techniques, restorative practice with essential oils and specialized workshops on alignment principles created the opportunity for MORE.

Lead teachers from the hot yoga community and other branded yoga practices came from all over the country to share their professional expertise and love of yoga. This gave participants access to a broader yoga experience and promoted a level of learning, growth and meaningful connection that led to a wide awakening. In addition to this education and practice, a host of daily side excursions allowed for full exploration of local activities such as snorkeling the area reef, paddleboarding, visiting Mayan ruins, or carving out some hang time on the beach gazing at the Caribbean blue ocean. The vegetarian cuisine was fresh and tasty, and the town restaurants offered traditional seafood dishes from area fishing boats. Live music on the town square provided a chance to kick up your heels in the evening if you wanted a night out on the town. Or you could head back to tranquil Casa Om for an early to bed, early to rise meditation on the beach and welcome the new day.  Something for everyone, with the magic of inspiration sprinkled over all.

One Fire Fest offered a taste of variety in yoga practice, in addition to the work and sweat of a typical hot yoga class. By providing a wider spectrum of experience, participants were able to connect and create new paradigms to take back to their respective communities, sharing the love, the light that is One Fire.
