Off The Mat, Into The World:
Yoga, Transformation, and Social Justice with Seane Corn
Join Seane Corn for this special benefit event and explore what it means to be an advocate for social change from the inside out, our role as conscious leaders and how to be a part of creating a nation that is inclusive, equal and accessible for ALL. Yoga is a practice of making the unconscious conscious, it is a practice of investigating the lost, disconnected, resistant and defended parts of ourselves. It is a practice of compassion that opens us to experience each other, the planet and Spirit as One.
Because stress and trauma live in the body, the yoga practice is a perfect opportunity to confront and change some of the patterns that keep us stuck, suffering and feeling separate from each other. When we do our inner work and feel the interdependency that unites, we change on an individual level. This individual transformation supports collective change, and it is through that change, and the result of unification, that peace is possible. Therefore the revolution begins within!
If you’re interested in seeing the world become a better place, curious about how to contribute or overwhelmed by the state of our nation, join us for a practice that will shed some light, offer guidance, and ultimately inspire you to be the change you wish to see. Part discussion and part asana. ALL LEVELS.
Off The Mat, Into The World is the only training institution within the yoga community, bridging both yoga & activism. 100% of proceeds from the event will be donated to the organization in order to continue underwriting scholarships toward leadership intensives. OTM is leaders worldwide in social change, and is the bridge between yoga, self inquiry, and deep sustainable community action. OTM offers hundreds of scholarships toward their leadership trainings each year, and does their best to ensure no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
"An important part of justice is access. At OTM, we stand for leveraging our privilege to support others. If you can afford to, please consider paying it forward by paying any amount above the Community Rate. This allows us to continue scaling the prices of our intensives (both online and in-person), so that everyone is included.” OTM Team
