Summer Solstice - another power gate of the Wheel of the Year, the marriage of Heaven and Earth and technically is the shortest night and longest day of the year. The solstice, sometimes called midsummer, is technically the first day of summer.
Join Dana for her first annual Summer Solstice Retreat at Mt. Madonna where we re-align, re-calibrate, and re-member who we are.
If you haven’t been to Mt. Madonna, the Center has always been a sacred space, from the early Native American Ohlone days to the Italian stone masons who saw the apparition of the Madonna in the forest. It’s a place of natural magic and power and a place of personal transformation where people can find their authentic selves through practice, study, community, and service.
During this week at Mt. Madonna, you’ll embark on a journey from dark to light, contraction to expansion, and experience a re-memberance of who you are and what you are here to offer toward the well-being of this planet.
Dana will lead you through ritual and ceremony specifically designed to usher the light within you to the surface. We’ll practice yoga, sing, meditate, dance and use every ounce of our bodies to re-align with our soul.
The weekend begins on Thursday evening with an opening ceremony and solstice ritual. Each morning we will take in a sunrise meditation followed by an invigorating yoga class. Class will be followed by a nourishing breakfast offered by Mt Madonna staff.
Afternoon sessions will include restorative practice, astrology sessions, and/or essential oils and crystals for optimal healing. Evenings will include rituals, ceremony, and community dinner. The final evening will be a celebration and a reflection of our weekend spent together.
