Self-care Sundays February 3-24, 2019 from 1:00 - 3:00pm at Anasa Oakland!
Single session: $35 early bird / $40 at the door
4-week series: $125
Stressed? Moving through life on empty? How do you refuel? How do you fortify your mind and body for life’s challenges?
For many of us, stress has become a normal part of life, directly impacting our mind and body in powerful ways. Stress is an imbalance between our coping abilities and the demands placed on us, including the demands we place on ourselves. Self-care practices significantly reduce the impact of chronic stress and increase resilience. When we activate self-care, we stabilize our response by bringing conscious awareness to our choices.
You will leave this workshop with the tools needed to:
• integrate a personalized self-care plan into your weekly routine.
• respond more effectively and compassionately to life’s demands
• replace perfectionism and “I should” with self-compassion, forgiveness and love.
This workshop includes movement, discussion, meditation and new modalities to explore each week. There are no prerequisites. Bring a friend, a yoga mat and a notebook.
“We need to replace the vicious stress cycle with a vicious cycle of self-care.” – Dr. Sara Gottfried
