Who is Jai Uttal?
Grammy nominated Jai Uttal has been rightly hailed as a World Music Pioneer. He is a ecstatic singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He was among the first to hear the universal heartbeat in the variegated rhythms of the globe. His powerful, plangent voice and panoramic musical vision have also long been the core of the yoga community’s tradition of call-and-response devotional chanting, known as Kirtan. While his music is deeply rooted in Indian classics tradition - he studied long and hard under the Indian Sarod Master Ali Akbar Khan - it is also plentifully imbued with echoes of reggae, rock, folk, Brazilian music, and other sounds from across the musical universe.

All of these diverse and colorful strands are woven together beautifully on what Jai calls ‘World Spirit Music’.

Who is The Pagan Love Orchestra?

In the early ninety’s The Pagan Love Orchestra was formed by Jai to support  his creativity and original world music vision. Seasoned and inspiring musicians brought to the band their uniqueness and mastery. Jai and The Pagans were the first ones to bring chanting and world music to night clubs and festivals all around the world.

Here is the stunning lineup of the 2019 incarnation of Jai Uttal and The Pagan Love Orchestra: Jai Uttal, Peter Apfelbaum, Jeff Cressman, Sandy Cressman, Jose Neto, Ben Leinbach, Mark Gorman, Ami Molinelli, Prajna Vieira and Lucia Lilikoi.
