New Venue Gives Sat Nam Fest More Space For Harmony

The winds are blowing Sat Nam Fest from the Joshua Tree desert to the seaside community of Malibu this year where the Kundalini Yoga festival will have more space to create harmony and expand the sacred community. Sat Nam Fest is happening from April 10 - April 14, 2019.

“At first we were disappointed when Joshua Tree Retreat Center didn’t renew our lease but we are excited to go to Malibu Canyon,” says festival organizer Amrit Kaur. “The canyon is very lush and green. You are kind of being held by Mother Earth... I’ve always been a water baby so knowing that we are so close to the sea is special to me.”

With more teachers and more music than ever before, the four-day festival from April 10-14 will gather at the base of Mt. Crags for yoga, meditation, chanting and discussions that will elevate the spirit. 

Those who have been in the past know that there is a special connection and sense of community at Sat Nam Fest. Now there will be more venues for creating connections and more space for shared housing.

Amrit, who at first was hesitant to share a room at Sat Nam Fest, has enjoyed the friendships she’s made with her roommates and has countless stories of how other people’s friendships have blossomed each spring. 

“Something happens when you end up in the perfect moment and someone is supposed to come into life at that moment,” she says. “It is really beautiful.”

In addition to more space for shared housing, the new venue will have:

●    More daytime music.

●    Two all-night gong baths.

●    An evening crystal sound bowl session.

Sat Nam Fest was born out of the inspired dream to want to bring people together in happy, healthy, and holy harmony. All with the intent to dive deep, expand, explore, elevate and celebrate through sacred mantra music, kundalini yoga, meditation, sadhana, soul inspiring workshops, community meal time and more.
