Name: Jennie Hayes

Practice with me at: Satori Yoga Studio

How long I’ve been practicing yoga: 18 years

How long I’ve been teaching yoga: 5 years

What kind of yoga I teach: Vinyasa & Yin

My mantra these days: I am worthy. I am love.

An asana/meditation or kriya that has been resonating with me lately is: Heart coherence meditation has changed my life; a simple focusing on gratitude and compassion on a daily basis has shifted my relationship to my life and brought me an incredible amount of contentment in the place old angst and anxiety. The work of Dr. Joe Dispenza has been of equal value to me - knowing that my thoughts directly influence the nature of my life has been the most empowering knowledge I have encountered.

How I like to practice yoga off the mat: Kindness is everything to me, compassion and unconditional love are the heart of my spiritual practice. I consider this my greatest work. My everyday prayer is always Thank You.

My favorite thing about summer: The river days and coming into greater communion with nature. The picture featured was taken on the Yuba River.

My sign: Taurus Sun, Sagittarius Rising, Pisces Moon.

The last book I read was: A Path with Heart by Jack Kornfield.

Favorite local juice/tea spot: The Juice Shop SF - love these guys!

Where I go for a nourishing meal: Gracias Madre.

What’s on your yoga playlist right now: I have been making playlists with Cumbia and Minimal techno tracks, my favorite producers being from Argentina and Berlin.

A few of my favorite yoga teachers are: Steph Snyder, Satya Gita Aune, and Abby Tucker.

A ritual I love: As a practicing astrologer, I always hold deep reverence for the cycles of nature and practice ritual to celebrate and use the energy of each New Moon & Full Moon. I view these times as potent windows for transformation and vibrational shifts that are wanting to take place in my inner and outer world.

What I am letting go of this year: Self Doubt and fear of success.

What I am embracing this year: Self Love and a belief that I deserve fulfillment on all levels; mind, body, spirit.
