Yoga Retreat: Practice Presence. The Discipline That Sets You free.

Join Robyn Engel June 1-3rd for a Yoga retreat at the Land of Medicine Buddha in Soquel, CA.

About this trip

This yoga retreat will have 4-5 yoga classes over the weekend. Grounded by fluid and dynamic Bhakti Vinyasa Asana and Pranayama Practice. Infused with yoga philosophy from the Bhagavad Gita. Focusing on presence, purpose, and peace. Expect Mantra (chanting), Asana (poses), Pranayama (Breath), Dharma (philosophy), meditation and Bhakti (love). Many wise philosophies, cultures and religions are grounded in the importance of PRESENCE. This yoga retreat will be a exploration of what Presence is, discovering for ourselves how it a practice of steady presence is the discipline that sets us free. How it can set us on our path of purpose and connect us to the peace we each carry in our heart. Robyn will guide us to harness our presence to find our personal power and joyful peace through presence and purpose.

About Land Of The Medicine Buddha

Land of the Medicine Buddha is an environmentally conscious meditation and retreat center set on 108 acres of coastal foothills standing adjacent to 10,000 acres of redwood forest. It is an active Buddhist community dedicated to the practice of peace, love, joy, and truth. This is an idyllic spot to disconnect, to slow down and get quiet. We then have the opportunity to retreat. But we are not retreating away from our life. We are retreating from the almost constant distraction from life.

Know that guests coming to Land of Medicine Buddha are asked to observe the Five Precepts:

1. NO KILLING (this includes all insects)

2. NO LYING (we invite you to include harsh speech)

3. NO STEALING (this includes borrowing without asking permission)

4. NO SEXUAL MISCONDUCT (any sexual activity that will cause suffering to another being)

5. NO INTOXICANTS (this includes tobacco and any alcohol)

(10 minutes south of Santa Cruz, we can organize carpooling from the Bay Area)
