This program, happening at the Yoga Society of San Francisco (2872 Folsom St.) will consist of lecture, questions and answers, meditation and a complete, gentle series of Jivan Muktan Asanas. It will take place in the upstairs Meditation Hall and will be followed by a vegetarian meal served by ashram residents.

Swami Kriyananda was a student of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati (Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D.), the eminent yoga master, Sanskrit scholar, healer, and author, who died in 1993. From 1971 to 1990, he was program director and yoga teacher trainer at the Yoga Societies of New York and San Francisco, both founded by Swami Brahmananda. A practitioner of healing through therapeutic touch, S. Kriyananda was director of the International School of Massage Therapy in San Francisco from 1984-90. S. Kriyananda was the president of the Yoga Society of San Francisco from 2007-2011. For 50 years, he has taught yoga and healing in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and North America.
